Manual cleaning of Rugs/ Carpets

Materials needed:
1. Dry foam spray for cleaning carpets, tapestries, etc.
2. Vacuum cleaner
3. Spongeand basin with lukewarm water

Steps:
1. Vacuum well the rug, carpet, or tapestry
2.  Shake the bottle of the dry foam spray.  With the bottle perpendicular to the rug/carpet, apply the foam spray over the area to be cleaned.
3. Spread theproduct using a previously moistened sponge (with lukewarm water)
4. When totally dry, vacuum the rug/ carpet once again.

Observations:
This operation (manual cleaning of rugs/ carpets) may also be done using a a basinof water with a bit of ammonia.  With abrush, spread the mixture over the rug/ carpet, and then remove it using awhite cotton rag. No need to wet the carpet too much. This technique is not advisable for carpets/ rugs made of pure virgin wool as it can make them more compact.
