The best moment to clean windows is on a cloudy, but not rainy, day. Cleaning windows under direct sunlight is neither advisable as it will make the liquid dry out too soon.
To clean windows that have grease (especially kitchen windows), one should pass a cloth soaked in a solution of vinegar with water (in a proportion of 3/4 parts water to 1/4 part of vinegar).
