Cleaning Outdoor Areas

To keep clean streets, yards, terraces and balconies, sweep leaves, and if the ground is made of stone, cement, tiles, etc., wash it using water or some detergent. In some cases it is convenient to use water and bleach with help of a root brush; that will avoid the emergence of moss, mold, or other plants that could grow between tile unions. To keep a clean garden, use a leave broom or a vacuum cleaner to remove dead leaves, and cut all withered flowers and leaves.

Cleaning frequency depends on the weather and type of plants around: it must be a kind of cleaning that prevents materials from deterioration, but outdoor areas cannot be as clean as indoors. When planning outdoors cleaning, it is important to take into account the characteristics of each season.

We should not forget to clean decorative elements, such as fountains, gates, lanterns, statues or sculptures, as well as chairs and tables. Keeping drains form being blocked by leaves, branches, mud, etc. is crucial. Grids can be place on drains to avoid blockages and overflows, and should be cleaned periodically.
